Warm hospitality with fantastic breakfast choices
We had a wonderful stay with spotlessly clean rooms and helpful hosts who provided great recommendations for local walks. The breakfast was fantastic, featuring locally sourced ingredients, and the coffee top-ups were a nice touch. It would be great if there were later check-out options, but overall, it made for a memorable trip!

The couple running the establishment provided exceptional hospitality, going above and beyond by stocking fresh milk and ensuring our tea and coffee supplies were always plentiful. Breakfast featured delicious homemade cakes alongside a variety of healthy options that were locally sourced. the steep stairs presented a challenge with luggage, and the room lacked some modern amenities one might expect for the price. Despite these minor drawbacks, the stay was pleasant, and I appreciated the daily weather updates on the blackboard.

Impressive free parking right behind Hazeldene made it easy to explore the area without worrying about my car. The room was quite comfortable, bright, and clean, with a good amount of space and thoughtful touches, like fresh milk for coffee and a daily bottle of water. Immaculate cleanliness stood out throughout my stay, and daily housekeeping kept everything in top shape. Breakfast stole the show every morning. the cooked options were delicious, especially the sausages, and the staff was quick to offer extra tea and toast. the steep stairs to the guest rooms could be a challenge, especially if you have heavy bags or mobility issues. Despite that, the friendly atmosphere and the local tips provided by Sam and Steve made for a warm and welcoming experience. I felt right at home.

Perfectly located with ample parking! My room was spotless and cozy, making it the ideal place to unwind after a day of hiking. The hosts were just wonderful, even providing an early breakfast when I needed to dash off!
But let’s just say, those stairs could use a vacation of their own—one misstep and you might as well be mountain climbing! It’s a real cardio workout carrying bags, darling.
